Middle school transitioning

Less Desire to Succeed

In middle school you don't

have as much of a desire

to succeed than in elementary

school. The amount of work

goes down as age goes higher.

Lower Grades in Middle School

After starting middle school, Tweens get lower grades than in elementary school. They are just as smart as in elementary school. They grading stays the same. So they must not be performing as good. Tweens usually put school at least importance.

Why These Changes Occur

In research, Tweens seem

to be less interested in school.

They're excuses are probably

shifting interests and dramas.

What Parents can do

These problems are beyond parents' control. You can still help your child by keeping them engaged in school. Emphasize the importance in "Love and Learning" during Junior High.
