Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools
The Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools was re-launched in February of this year. Students from the Future Business Leaders of America Club (FBLA) partnered with the foundation to create a student run non-profit organization. Under the leadership of Mrs. Siciliano, Club Advisor, students created new marketing materials, logo, website, and protocol to build on the Foundation’s EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credit) program to fund programs, equipment, and educational experiences in our schools that the school budget cannot provide. Students also revised the application process, review grant requests, and provide recommendations for board approval. These students are involved in the daily operations of running a non-profit which prepares our students for their roles in a global technology-dependent economy.
The EITC Program benefits both businesses and our school district. It provides a platform for businesses to offset Pennsylvania Taxes and invest in their future workforce and community. Teachers can apply for funds though our grant process. Individual can also make donations to foundation through our gifting program.

Message from Ms. Dilks - Updates for Marking Period 2
1. During WIN, all students are being asked to check and respond to their student email. Teachers communicate with students this way and it's important for them to get in the habit of checking and responding to their email.
2. All students have been given a digital agenda book. Parents who would like to have this document shared with them can ask their child to share it with them electronically. This would allow you to monitor this document if you would like access. Here is a sample: Grade 6 Digital Agenda Book and Grades 7 and 8 Agenda Book. Students are being asked to complete this throughout the day and to finish filling it out during WIN If needed.
3. All teachers will be running a Google Meet during WIN for drop in support. Students can drop in to the meet to get help, ask a question, or schedule a time for an appointment for more extended help. We hope this will make getting help during WIN more accessible for all students.
We continue to experiment with different approaches to assist students. Middle school is a great time to learn study skills in terms of managing an agenda book as well as learning how to reach out for help from a teacher.
I encourage all parents to check their students' grades in the Home Access Center at least once a week if possible. Report cards have been published to the Home Access Center. Thank you for your continued support.
