October 2015 Update

October 12th: Rigor Rubric Training

This summer we were introduced to the Rigor/Relevance Framework and established a common language for talking about instruction PK-12 and across content areas. On October 12th, we will take this learning to the next level with the support of the Rigor Rubric. All Teachers PK-12, Counselors, and Administrators will attend a 3 hour session to introduce and apply the Rigor Rubric as a support for rigorous learning for ALL students.


*Campus principals will provide a schedule for the remainder of the day.

Morning Sessions: 8am-11am

What to Bring:

  • Printed Copy of 1 Lesson Plan (1 prep or one subject for 1 day).
  • Laptop


Parking: Please plan to arrive in time to park, sign in, and get settled before your session. All sessions will begin ON TIME.

  • Zellars: Please DO NOT PARK in the FIRE LANE. Additional parking is available at LMS.
  • LMS: Please park and enter in FRONT of LMS and enter through the main doors.
  • LEHS: Please park and enter on the CAFETERIA side of the building.

November Comp Days & Online Learning Options

If you attended any out-of-district professional learning this summer (AP, Pre-AP, GT Online, GT Face-to-Face, OnRamps, etc) you will need to upload your certificates to Eduphoria in order to received credit towards your 15-16 Comp Hours or GT Update.

  • All Elementary GT Cluster Teachers are REQUIRED by TEA to have their 30 hour initial training or 6 hour update.
  • All Secondary PAP/AP Teachers are REQUIRED by TEA to have their 30 hour initial training or 6 hour update.
  • To use the Online options for November credit-You must notify your principal, and have all coursework completed by 11/1/2015.
