Do you have students who love writing poetry? Encourage them to submit to the Poetry That Ate Our Ears contest. It’s free to enter and winning poems are published in a chapter book and shorter poems (8 lines or less) are also considered for display on city buses. Students' names can’t appear on the poem page but should be printed on the back of each poem, along with their grade, name of school, home address, and phone number. (If preference is not to note home address and number, then write the CIS site staff name/contact information so that if the student wins, they can be notified through CIS) Details here: https://www.friendsofpoetry.org/poems-that-ate-our-ears
