One Door Closes...Another One Opens

Out with the old and in with the new! We had a great Marching Season, but now it's time for the Winter Concert and Concert Season!

Our Winter Concert will be on Thursday, December 6th, 2018, at 7:00 PM in the Knights Union. Please verify this change with your personal calendars.

There is a lot of important information in this newsletter. Please READ all of it.

Walmart Re-Grand Opening

The percussion and guard will be participating in the Walmart Re-Grand Opening. These students will need to report to the Walmart on S.R. 40 at 7:00 AM. If you are unable to be dropped off at Walmart, you will need to talk to Mr. Bass no later than Wednesday, Nov. 7.

We will be missing a portion of 2nd period. An email will go out to teachers this week to let them know about the tardiness so that it will be excused.

Here is the itinerary for Friday:

7:00 AM - Meet at Walmart, put on uniforms

7:30 AM - Start playing for Re-Grand Opening

~8:00 AM - End of ceremony

~8:30 AM - WE should be back to VHS

The time back to VHS is tentative.

Playoff Games

We have made it to Football Playoffs! Technically, marching season is done, but you may volunteer to participate in the pep band. In order for us to participate, I will need a minimum of 30 students to be present. In order to sign up, please click on the link below no later than Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at 4:00 PM:

Students will have to provide their own transportation to the game. No buses will be provided. Also, since this is not a required event, we will not provide free food for 3rd quarter breaks. Students will be required to wear their gray VHS shirt and jeans. If it is cold, students can wear warmer clothes under the shirts. Students will need to report to Booster no later than 6:30 PM.

If parents want to volunteer, they have to have volunteer paperwork turned into the school. This is a state run event, not Vanguard run, so we have to follow very strict rules. Parents will need to fill out the link below no later than Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 at 4:00 PM.

You will not be able to enter the game for free if you are not participating with the band. There is absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS!
