We are so super, duper excited about field day on Friday. Students will need a field trip permission slip signed and returned in order to attend field day.

Field day is always a fun filled (and exhausting) day. We are lucky enough to get volunteers from McCracken Middle School to help "man" each station. Coach Brabham and Coach Kite only need help setting up and tearing down. Parents are encouraged to just stay with their children’s classes and help them move through rotations after setting up.If you would like to come to field day, you will need to drive to SHS. We do not have room on the buses for parents.

Christy Parris, one of our PTSO moms, has created a sign up genius for you to sign up to help with our set up and tear down.

5th grade Exhibition Project

Our 5th graders are working on their end of study IB Exhibition project. This year the 5th graders have decided to raise money for medical cost and care of Baby Camden, infant son of 5th grade teacher Mrs. Bryant. Next week the 5th grade students are asking all students to bring in Coins for Camden, after all it is just pocket change to you, but can help someone else.

The students have planned some pretty interesting events for Mrs. Rose and Mr. Duvall should they reach their goal!

5th grade

We can't believe our 5th graders have just a few short weeks left of JBE. This is always a bittersweet time for our faculty, students and parents. We have many special things planned for them. We would like our 5th grade parents to send in a baby picture next week if possible. Label the picture, but it will be returned to you- most likely that same day. The picture will be scanned.

Video Production

We will have a video team in our building 3 days next week doing some filming of events around the school for a production we are currently completing. We are super excited about the project and can't wait to share it with you all when it is done.

Our Yearbooks will be distributed on Monday, May 23rd. If you've pre-ordered your yearbook, you will receive one on that day. We have a very limited amount of extra yearbooks that will be on sale the morning of Tuesday, May 24th. These will be first come, first serve on that morning due to the small, limited number we have available.

Our last Suit up Wednesday will be on May 18th. We will have a guest speaker so we are encouraging as many of our students who can to suit up this Wednesday.
