Celebrating Literacy Week!

We're 'Spreading Literacy, One View at a Time.' Please view our video on youtube that was created by our students! We have the opportunity to win a prize to purchase literary resources for our school libraries.





Your child's MYP IB report card will be given to them in their homeroom period on Wednesday January 16, 2019. For more information about the report card, please join us at the meeting at 6pm the same day in our cafeteria.

We are grateful you choose FRANKLIN ACADEMY where we are BUILDING BETTER PEOPLE EVERY DAY.

There will be no school for students and our offices will be closed on Monday January 21, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes will resume for students the following day, Tuesday January 22.

K-5 students will be released at 11:15am on Thursday January 31 and MYP students at 12:15pm for their early release day, unless the student is enrolled in AfterSchool Connections.

In support of the Arts Department, we will be hosting a bed mattress sale.

There will be name-brand mattresses for sale, such as Simmons, Beautyrest, Malouf, Southerland, Tranquility, and much more. The mattresses will be offered at up to 50% off retail price and all mattresses come with a full warranty. Financing is available. You can be assured that these are high-quality products. More information and special incentive discounts will be shared on Wednesday January, 16 at 6:30pm. A service hour will be given to each family in attendance, as well as a $5 donation given to our school, up to $500!

The event is on Saturday February 9th, from 10am to 5pm in our cafeteria . All styles and sizes are available for you to lay on- including plush, firm, pillowtops, memory foam, latex and more.

The Character Trait of the month is FAIRNESS for our elementary students. Our IB Learner Profile Attribute is OPEN-MINDED for our middle school students during the month of January. Nominated students that exhibit the character traits and attributes of the month will be recognized at our ceremony on Thursday January 31, 2018 at 8:45am-9:30am. Families of students being recognized will be notified by invitation.

Box Tops Due

Students can submit 10 Box Tops attached to the February Box Tops Collection sheet by Friday February 8, in order to be eligible for a dress down day Thursday February 13.

DRESS-DOWN Day Attire & Guidelines

According to our Parent-Student Handbook, dress-down day attire should be neat and modest. T-Shirts with offensive slogans or wording are not permitted. Shirts must have sleeves. Midriff and spaghetti strap tops are not permitted. Low riding jeans are not permitted. No flip flops or sandals are allowed. Skirt and short lengths must follow the original uniform code. Inappropriate dress will restrict any student from dressing down on the next designated day and parents may be called to bring appropriate attire.

Our Q3 student clubs will continue until Friday March 15, 2019. Elementary students are always dismissed from the bus side as soon as the club ends at 4pm, and Grades 6-8 students at 5pm, unless otherwise stated by the club moderator. All communication from the club moderators will be received electronically.
