Meet the Family Hub™
The future of the IoT is arriving, the example is here
What is the Family Hub?
The Family Hub is not the typical fridge. It isn't an innovation in the appliance sector, but a big step in the IoT world. It's like a typical fridge, but with a touchscreen in its right door. Of course, it does all of the functions of a conventional fridge.
Advantatges of the Family Hub
Apart from doing the typical things that a fridge does, it can do more several things:
- Don't forget again to buy anything. The Family Hub includes a 21.5" touchscreen, where you can take notes, play media content, or see what's in your fridge.
- Stay online. The fridge has Wi-Fi on it, and the Samsung feature 'Wi-Fi Direct.
- Be cold. The Family Hub has an ice dispenser and a water dispenser, too.
- Never throw food to the rubbish again. The Family Hub notifies you when an aliment is going to expire, so you eat it in good condition.
Disadvantages of the Family Hub
Well, the main disadvantages of the Family Hub are his weight, due to the number of components inside its body, and overall, its price. It can cost around $1500, in the launching date, but two or three years after his launching, it will cost around $800, like the current Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Conclusion
To conclude, we can say that the Family Hub is a great appliance, but if you don't have much money, you should start saving money (it will cost a fortune!)
