First Grade Happenings

We had a very busy week . . . President Reports, a Valentine Exchange, an all-school assembly, and lots of assessments in preparation for progress reports and conferences. There is no school next week in honor of all our U.S. Presidents (and families that like to ski). See you back on February 22nd!

President Reports

I was very impressed with all the President Reports. It was obvious that the students were well prepared. Thanks for helping out at home! Below are pictures I took with my phone. I used flash, but some still came out a bit dark.


Congratulations, Yalli! She was our student of the month for January who best exhibited the character trait of RESPONSIBILITY. We are practicing TRUSTWORTHINESS for the month of February.

Legoland Field Trip

We will be going to Legoland on Wednesday, March 16th. A permission slip was sent home in the Friday Folder. Please complete it and send it back to school by Wednesday, February 24th. This is an educational field trip and students will be attending two different classes: Tall Towers and Simple Machines. There will be a very limited amount of time to go on rides at the park and our class will stay together (no free exploring of the park). We can only take 6 chaperones with us. As a chaperone, you will be in charge of a group of 3-4 students. If you are interested, please send me an email. Look for an email from me with all the details.
