These classes will be held at Puget Sound ESD, and you will have 3 opportunities to take a Level 1 and Level 2 training. Early registration fee is $185, and there will be 10 clock hours ($20) or 1 SPU credit ($42) available. Click on the dates below for more information and to register.

For a cost of $2500, Randy will teach a maximum of 30 of your staff how to create instructional videos for the classroom. He will also cover what flipping a classroom is and what the benefits are for this teaching strategy. Options available for flipping a classroom will be covered, and staff will also learn how to use an electronic white board and pen tablet in creating instructional videos. Finally, we wanted to let you know that Texas Instruments will be holding a workshop at PSESD's Renton building on Saturday, November 8 (tentatively 8:30am-2:30pm):
Implementing the Common Core Mathematical Practices with TI-Nspire™ Technology
This workshop is designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students using the Mathematical Practices. This will comprise the use of both the TI-Nspire™ handheld and the TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software. TI-Nspire™ technology will be introduced in the context of middle grades and high school Mathematics curriculum. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS). Participants will reflect on what steps are needed to get the students engaged in the mathematical practices through case studies, video and task analysis. Cost is $125 (Includes a full-version of either the TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software or TI-SmartView™ for the TI-84 Plus family software, lunch, and clock hours!).
QUESTIONS about this workshop may be directed to Brian Dunnicliffe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
