Parent(s)/legal guardian(s) are required to register their new student by completing the D230 Registration Form. The D230 Registration Form is the process of gathering important information about our students and families including the birth certificate and custodial documents. At this time, families were notified by email if the D230 Registration Form was complete or incomplete. For those incoming families that have not completed the D230 Registration Form, please click here.

District 230 uses CLEAR, a third party program, that reviews public records and determines if a student’s residency is current to attend Stagg High School. At this time, families either received an email notification stating residency has been verified/ is complete or if additional documentation is required to prove residency. For those families in need of completing residency verification and have questions, please contact the Guidance Office at 708-974-7423.

  • The form outlines the difference between “required” and “optional” fee for the school year.

Students currently eligible for Free Lunch, whose family is currently receiving aid under Article IV of the Illinois Public Aid Code or whose parent is serving in active duty or was injured or killed while serving active duty in any branch of the United States Military may qualify for a Fee Waiver.

If you believe you may qualify for a fee waiver/free lunch for the 22-23 school year, follow this LINK and complete the steps in the process. The following income documentation is required as part of your electronic application:

  • A current letter from the Department of Human Services for SNAP or TANF benefits that includes a case number and names of all persons covered OR

  • 2021 Income Tax Return including corresponding W2 forms(s).

Important Notes

  • The student(s) must be listed as a dependant on the 2021 tax return

  • Medical benefits only will NOT qualify for a Fee Waiver

  • Deadline for the Fee Waiver application is 30 days from the student’s first day of school

  • District 230 verifies the information submitted to be approved for a waiver

  • Fee Waiver/ Free Lunch does not rollover to each school year, you must re-apply for the new school year.

District 230 uses the State of Illinois Direct Certification process to determine families who are automatically eligible for Free Lunch. These families are receiving assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and/or the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).

Families who are automatically eligible for Free Lunch will:

  • Receive notification from the District prior to Schedule Release in August.

  • Automatically receive a waiver of their student’s 22-23 registration fees in early July.

Families not part of the SNAP and/or TANF program, may qualify for Free Lunch. These families should complete the Fee Waiver Application at the link above and submit the required documents.

Login to Skyward using the Parent login/Password and select 2022-23 Consent. Complete all steps in the 2022-23 Consent and submit to ensure the process is complete. If you need login/password assistance please email our technology help desk at help@d230.org

All incoming Freshmen and Transfer students are required to submit a State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination with proof of immunizations, a Dental Examination Form and an Emergency Information Form. Failure to have these documents submitted online before October 15, 2022 will keep students from being able to attend classes or participate in activities until the documents are submitted.

All incoming Seniors are required to submit proof of having received the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) on or after their 16th birthday. Failure to have these documents submitted online before October 15, 2022 will keep students from being able to attend classes until the documents are submitted.

There are several options to get the vaccine before school begins:

  1. Make an appointment with your healthcare provider.

  2. Make an appointment with your local Township. (Palos Township)

  3. Make an appointment with a CVS, Walgreens, or Osco location that administers vaccines.

Health documents MUST be submitted online. We will no longer be accepting forms dropped off in person, mailed in or sent by email. Once your forms have been reviewed by the school Health Services Office, you will get an email indicating whether or not the forms were approved or rejected. Visit the Health Services page on the Stagg website for additional information and select “CHSD230 Student Medical Information” to upload the required forms.

Annual Registration in Skyward begins June 13th and is open until July 30th. Please complete the steps above to ensure a successful start to the school year. Completion of this process will allow your student’s schedule to be released in early August. If any of the above steps are not completed, schedules will not be released.

We will continue to send newsletters throughout the summer with additional resources and information for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Stay tuned and enjoy your summer!
