ON-SITE TESTING
As we shared in the District Newsletter on Friday (here), we have started offering an On-site COVID-19 Testing center at the ECC District Office on weekdays from 7am to 3pm for students, staff, and family/household members of positive student or staff cases or anyone deemed a close contact.
If you are contacted by our main office at the school that your child is symptomatic and needs to be picked up or released from school, you now have the opportunity between 7am to 3pm to take your child to the ECC District Office for COVID-19 testing. HIGH SCHOOL ONLY - We will continue to have On-Site Testing at Franklin High School during weekdays from 7am to 3pm for high school students through our health office located there.
Please review this document for other details and questions you may have about how this will work. Testing is another mitigation strategy to help us reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.
WEBSITE BACK UP AND RUNNING
As of late Sunday, the district website, including all school websites, is back up and running to 100% functionality. We apologize for the inconvenience with it being up and down last week. Our website vendor has restored all pages including the calendar area, our newsfeeds, and our staff directory. Thank you for your patience during this past week as they worked to get everything restored.
DISTRICT NEWSLETTER FROM FRIDAY
In case you missed it, please review the District Newsletter from Friday (here) as there were many details shared about how we are continuing to best address the spread of COVID-19 in our schools while remaining in-person for learning.
REGISTRATION FOR 22-23 IS NOW OPEN FOR NEW FAMILIES!
Our registration is now open for next school year for new families to the district and next year’s 4K. You can find all the necessary details on our website here. Please note that students already enrolled in our schools do not have to have a new registration completed. You may utilize the “Create Account” and “Forgot Password” buttons on the registration page to complete your registration or gain access if you have created an account in the past. Please help us share that registration is open with any new families to the area or those with younger children that would be entering 4K or 5K!
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
With the colder temperatures we are seeing increased traffic through our parking lots for morning drop-off and feel it is a good time to remind everyone of the morning drop-off procedures for the safety of all students and efficiency of getting all students into the building as quickly as possible.
Drop-offs should be done through the loop along the North side of the building. No drop-offs should occur at the main entrance in the bus lane.
If you are parking in the west parking lot you must park and walk your students to the main entrance utilizing the crosswalks across the bus lane.
In the drop-off lane:
Students should remain in vehicles until doors open and staff is present.
Pull as far up along the sidewalk as possible to the farthest cones utilizing all space along the sidewalk-this is for efficiency.
Students should have all coats on, bags and masks ready to exit vehicle as soon as fully stopped anywhere along the sidewalk
Students should exit vehicles behind the driver on curb side if possible
If students absolutely must exit passenger side, have them walk in front of your vehicle for their safety
Please no cell phone use during the drop off or driving through the parking lots
All through last week, and possibly into this week, we will be having indoor recess due to extremely cold weather. Just a reminder that we go outside for recess as long as the “feels like” temperature is zero and above. Please help your child to plan for cold weather and bring clothing that will keep them warm.
Have a fantastic week!

ATTENDANCE REMINDER
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.

NEW SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT FORM
The District has joined “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” for threat or incident reporting. This takes the place of our previous “StopIt” reporting form. Click on this link to view the new form. You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed. The video linked below gives a good overview of how “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” works and is good to review with your family.
Going forward, we will have a graphic for Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin at the bottom of each newsletter that you can click on for quick access to report incidents if needed. You can also add the Speak Up Speak Out App on your phone for quick reporting by utilizing these links: iOS | Android
