Why I Choose this topic
I choose this topic because I it I think is interesting that people can be rightfully messed up in the brain after a traumatic experience to the point were they cant even remember their name or were they are.
What is it?
amnesia due to trauma is when one is confused or has memory loss after a bad head injury. This can result in complete loss of memories such as ones own name and current location. this can last for a couple of days or even months.
Who?
C. P. Symonds thats who. He was really the first to really discussed the symptoms of Cerebral contusion ( a kind of traumatic brain injury). he was able to see that his patents were restless and irritable. This is what led to post traumatic amnesia.

Were does it affect?
There are two types of PTA Anterograde amnesia and Retrograde amnesia.
Anterograde amnesia: this is the loss to create new memories. associated with the Hippocampus
Retrograde amnesia: is the loss of memories that happened right before an accident
Anterograde amnesia: this is the loss to create new memories. associated with the Hippocampus
