Statement One
1. If your odometer reading is 50,000 miles, you have traveled ~65,000~ miles on the new tires.
Statement Two
2. If your speedometer reading is 70, your speed is~91~ miles per hour with the new tires.
Statement Three
3. If your mile per gallon with factory tires is~17~ what is your mile per gallon with the new tires? 18.7 miles per gallon.
Finding the "K" Ratio
Use the Circumference of the smaller and larger tire and divide the two.
k ratio= 114.4/91.7= 1.3
The K ratio is 1.3
Then to find the answers to the statements you use the k ratio in all three
First Statement: 1.3* 50,000 = 65,000 miles
Second Statement: 1.3* 70= 91 mph
Third Statement: 1.3* 17= 18.7 mpg
