Save the Date for the Salford Hills Family Breakfast

Tuesday, April 9th, 7:15am to Wednesday, April 10th, 7:15am

2721 Barndt Road

Harleysville, PA

Please mark your calendars for the first annual Salford Hills Family Breakfast! This will be an opportunity for families to drop into the cafeteria between 7:15-8:00am to grab some coffee or tea and light continental fare (muffins, donuts, bagels, and fruit) with their children before heading off to work or other activities for the day. This will be an open house so please come and go as needed. We are thankful for our wonderful families and this is an opportunity to celebrate all that you do for your children! As we approach the dates, families will be asked to RSVP for either April 9th or April 10th. Please also consider volunteering your time if you are planning to attend. We are looking for help with manning food and beverage stations, clean up after the event, and also for monitoring children for a short period of time after the event ends and before the morning buses arrive. Please sign up to volunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e084caca922a5fa7-family. Please contact Angela Hiller at a.m.hiller@gmail.com with any questions.

Youth Art Month Exhibit

The eagerly anticipated Youth Art Month Exhibit 2019 is open at Indian Valley Public Library!

Over 400 pieces of art made by Souderton Area School District students in kindergarten through grade 12 are on display until March 28th.

This artwork reveals amazing creative achievements of our students and is a result of Souderton Area School District’s commitment to providing every student with a quality visual arts education.

Students are challenged to think about the role the arts has played in history and how time and place impact artists and cultures.

Connections are made to personal experience, literature, and local and global events.

Creativity is developed through brainstorming, decision-making, questioning, experimenting, and personal reflection.

You will find many different media included: drawing, painting, printmaking, repousse’, collage and assemblage, textiles, jewelry making, ceramics, recycling, and wire sculpture.

The public is welcome to view this impressive exhibit during regular hours at the Indian Valley Public Library through March 28th. Come and celebrate the importance of art in our Souderton Area schools and in our lives!

KINDNESS

We've been talking a lot about being kind at our school. About if we put kindness at the very center of all that we do and say we'll create a school we want to come to every day. It's not magic, and we're in charge...everyone is.
