From the Desk of Mrs. Newell
We have successfully completed our first FULL week of the 2022-2023 School Year. This week students have practiced many instructional and safety procedures in order to help them be successful throughout this school year. Please take a moment to have conversations with them and allow them to share what they have learned this week.
Parents may eat lunch with their children. Parents must call the office to make a reservation as we have limited space for visitors. Please call the school at 281-229-7000 for a reservation before coming to guarantee availability.
Please read the procedures for morning drop off and pick up. Students may not be dropped off to wait outside the building. The school doors open at 8:00 A.M. Students may wait in their parents vehicle until then.
At no time should students be dropped off in the street. This is dangerous for the student and stopping in the street blocks the line from moving. If your child is a walker, they will be released at 4:00 P.M. and will walk home. If you are meeting your child, you must wait at the corners of the building and not at the front door. This causes confusion for the students that are car riders.
Should you need anything, please call the school between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. or respond to this email.

Hi, my name is Delicia Turner, I am the new student support specialist on campus. I am excited to be starting this school year with you all. I was previously an intern here for the 2021-2022 school year and had the pleasure of meeting some of your children last year. I look forward to continue helping our students to the best of my ability and connecting you all with resources within the community. If you have any question or want to reach out to me about resources, please contact me at kcis@dickinsonisd.org or give me a call a 281-229-7097.
