Summit Family Newsletter
April 2021
Happy to have all our students back!
We hope your kids have had a great experience being back to school four days a week! Our teachers and staff have had a great time beginning to build the classroom culture of a new and large community of learners.
We knew traffic would be busier for both morning drop-off and pick-up as we started full return to learn! Thank you for everyone’s patience!
I would encourage you to be mindful of the fact that the school day begins at 7:40am. Students should arrive prior to 7:40am in order to be in class on time! Please try to leave home earlier than normal to make it through the traffic each morning. Currently we have 50-70 students arriving after the tardy bell rings each day.

Free Tax Filing Assistance
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the IRS is partnering with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries to help disseminate information regarding the IRS-sponsored On-Line Taxes program, which allows free tax filing for middle- and lower-income citizens.
On-Line Taxes can now be accessed via most libraries in Oklahoma. Using this program, any taxpayer with an income of $72,000 or less can file their federal and state taxes free of charge. There is no age limit and the program also supports non-resident returns. Tax certified volunteers are also available to answer taxpayer questions.

Please contact Mr. Self directly by phone at 340-6003 or by email at wes.self@edmondschools.net should your child's absence be related to a Covid quarantine or isolation.
