SUMC Youth Group News Letter
December 2012/January 2013
What Happened In December
This past month has been a very busy Christmas season for the youth at Stewartville United Methodist Church. The youth and adult members of SUMC participated in the first annual Stewartville Area Youth Ministries Live Nativity. It was a great success, filling the collection barrel with non-perishable food, and raising $200.00 for Channel One. Thank you to all who helped in making the Live Nativity possible.
The youth also helped with the Date Night, by helping with the pageant practice and having a great time with all the kids. The youth took part in the annual Children’s Christmas pageant The Not-So-Silent Night. A big thanks to all those youth and children’s ministry team members who made the children’s pageant a blessing to all those who attended Sunday service on December 16th. Finally, the youth participated in the Christmas Eve 9:00 p.m. service by participating in the candle lighting and reading.
Wow… What an awesome Christmas season. The youth ministry team would like to wish all of you who helped and were blessed by the youth a Happy New Year.

Southern Minnesota TEC welcomes anyone, regardless of religious affiliation, to attend a TEC weekend. Many youth come to TEC from various Christian denominations, while some youth who attend are not affiliated with a denomination nor a church...all are welcome to attend.
Mission
Southern Minnesota TEC strives to enrich the faith lives of teenagers and encourage them to dig deeper into their faith through being active in their faith communities at home. TEC encourages teens to enrich their faith through relationships, Bible studies, and being a leader in their church.
