Survey for Parents/Guardians

Parents and guardians, we want to hear from you! Once again, we are partnering with YouthTruth – a nonprofit organization that supports hundreds of schools and districts across the county – to conduct an anonymous survey on our behalf. Please take 15 minutes to complete the survey to help us improve your child’s school experience. BTSD evaluates the data and takes it into consideration when decision-making and setting future goals. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Please take the survey before it closes at midnight on 11/19 by clicking this link:

BTSD Code of Conduct Review

For the past three years, BTSD has been taking proactive steps to support social emotional learning (SEL) and the mental health of students and staff. This year, we will review our Code of Conduct as an important part of our SEL work. Discipline means to teach and the revision of our Code of Conduct will reflect this. Our goals for the new Code of Conduct are:

  • Principals and teachers will use instructional responses to discipline before using punitive responses.
  • Increase positive solutions for student behaviors.
  • Decrease overall Office Discipline Referrals (ODRs).
  • Decrease racial disproportionality for ODRs and exclusionary practices.
  • Decrease the number of students in alternative placements.
