THE REAL CO$T of EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL USE
Binge drinking is considered 5 or more drinks consumed on one occasion by men and 4 or more drinks consumed on one occasion for women. The economic costs of binge drinking are staggering in many respects. Ohio's Campaign Engages Parents and Communities Webinar
The initiative was created based on national research that shows children are up to 50 percent less likely to use drugs when their parents or another trusted adult have conversations with them about drug use. A majority of substance-free adolescents credit their parents for the decision not to use illegal substances. Likewise, teachers and other role models can have a similar influence on youth and their decision-making. This webinar will explore the components of the initiative, how it is being used across the state, and share ways for communities to connect with the initiative.
