Children's Book Week Intro
Celebrate Books!
Children's Book Week is Nov. 9-15.
How can you celebrate? By reading, of course!
Check out the sites below for places to read and learn about books. You can also check out these special coloring pages designed by children's book illustrators.
There are lots of reading resources in the Virtual Library. Watch the video to find out about the databases and how to use them.
Elementary Reading Resources Overview
Places to Read Online
Looking for a good book to read, but not sure how to find one? Try watching some Book Trailers! Book Trailers are short videos that tell a little about the story, like a movie preview, and they are a great way to find something interesting to read.
Listen to stories on the KidLit Read Out Loud channel on Youtube. Many of the stories are read by the authors and illustrators of the books.
There are lots of fun, popular books available for free on FunBrain. Best of all, there's no limit to how many people can read them at the same time! So make a book group and start reading with your friends.
RIF Read Aloud Library
Don't judge this book by its cover!
This website looks kind of boring, but I promise it's not. It has links to pages and pages of read aloud videos. If you look at the titles you are bound to find something fun to read!
