Dear AMS Families

School starts at 8:45am. Please be on time! All late arrivals should be signed in by their parents. Thank You!

We are in the process of coordinating a series of parent / community evenings to address student success and mental health. Please check the AMS Web Page / calendar for these events and plan to attend.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Virtual Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Registration reservations are needed to visit with teachers on google meet.

1st quarter ends October 19th and grades will be available through PowerSchool online midweek of October 25th.

Revisions to the Schedule for Quarter 2

We will be making adjustments to our schedule for the second quarter. Changes include:

  • Increasing time in French and Spanish to a 45 minute class, every other day.

  • Adding a passing time between classes to ensure prompt entry and exit times for students.

  • Extending math class to 85 minutes, just like English Language Arts.

  • Reducing most explorations and electives to 45 minutes, some exceptions apply.

  • We will have a morning check-in with students daily, prior to the start of first period.

Dress for the Weather!

As we head into winter, please be sure your child has clothing for all seasons. Please label your students outerwear items. We will have outdoor recess daily, before school and at lunch recess. Plan for Colorado winter weather at all times!

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is overflowing. Please encourage your student to check the lost and found for missing items. We will donate items from lost and found at Thanksgiving Break.

Principal Coffee

Next Principal Coffee will be held on October 28 at 8:30am. We will meet in the library and have a virtual link available as well. We look forward to seeing you then.

Please reference Pitkin County Health’s algorithm for Testing and Isolation information here. This was updated on October 12th. Please remember if you're sick, stay home.
