Mrs. Boston and Mr. Clawson!
Little Free Library comes to E. Rivers!
At the end of students’ PYP experience in fifth grade, our IB Learners are tasked with completing a community-oriented, problem-solving project of their own design. Buckhead Marriott partnered with several 5th graders last year on their IB project to put a Little Free Library in front of the school. The students met with Marriott representatives Michelle Barton and Ileana Infante to formulate a plan. Buckhead Marriott generously purchased the Little Free Library, installed it in front of our school, and this week we had a dedication ceremony with many of our current 5th graders. This event has inspired our current 5th graders to already be thinking about their upcoming IB projects. Thank you Buckhead Marriott! We look forward to partnering with you on other endeavors! We are proud of these students for designing such a visible, long-lasting project, and we know our students, families, and neighbors will appreciate this resource.
