A) Police in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates has decided to implement the use of smart glasses with police. Glasses will assist them in finding wanted criminals.
Google Glass have attracted much attention in the last year, especially in the police. The FBI, for example, recently conducted research on the effectiveness of smart glasses with police.
Now the police in Dubai, the most populated city of the United Arab Emirates, are beginning to implement the use of such devices. The database that stores information about the criminals. Then policemen will be notified of that
The project is still in the experimental stage. At first, the use of smart glasses will be limited to monitoring traffic.
Smart glasses from Google cost about 1500 dollars or 180 thousand ISK. The project is therefore very expensive. Dubai is, however, one of the richest city in the world. Police there drive in very expensive Lamborghini cars.
B) Lögreglan í borginni Dubai í Sameinuðu arabísku furstadæmunum hefur ákveðið að innleiða notkun snjallgleraugna hjá lögreglunni. Gleraugun munu aðstoða þá við að hafa uppi á eftirlýstum glæpamönnum.
Google Glass snjallgleraugun hafa vakið mikla athygli á síðastliðnu ári, ekki síst hjá lögregluyfirvöldum. Bandaríska alríkislögreglan FBI hefur til að mynda nýlega gert rannsóknir á skilvirkni snjallgleraugna við lögreglueftirlit.
Nú hyggst lögreglan í Dubai, fjölmennustu borg Sameinuðu arabísku furstadæmanna, innleiða notkun slíkra tækja. Fari allt eftir óskum munu snjallgleraugun tengjast miðlægum gagnagrunni sem geymir upplýsingar um andlitsgerð eftirlýstra glæpamanna. Þá verður lögregluþjónum gert viðvart ef slíkir aðilar verða á vegi þeirra.
Verkefnið er enn á tilraunastigi. Fyrst um sinn mun notkun snjallgleraugnanna takmarkast við eftirlit með umferðarbrotum. Gangi það vel stendur til að innleiða notkun þeirra hjá rannsóknarlögreglunni og tengja gleraugun við gagnagrunn sem geymir andlitsgerð þekktra glæpamanna.
Snjallgleraugun frá Google kosta um 1500 Bandaríkjadali stykkið eða um 180 þúsund íslenskar krónur. Verkefnið er því í dýrari kantinum. Dubai er þó ein ríkasta borg heims. Lögreglan þar ekur um á rándýrum Lamborghini bifreiðum.
C) I chose this article because it shows how technology can help and improve our lives, in this case it can maybe save lives. Google Glass is growing fast and it will not be long until it will be a everyday item that regular people will use.

A) Þú ert ekki að verða brjálður. Þetta gæti hafa verið dróni fyrir utan flugvélar gluggann.
Fleiri tilkynningar hafa borist frá flugmönnum um það að þeir hafi séð drone uppi í háloftunum. 41 Flugmenn hafa tilkynnt það að þeir hafi séð drone. Um það bil 193 tilvik hafa verið tilkynnt frá Febrúar. 22 til Nóvember. 11.
B) You're not going crazy. That could have been a drone outside your airplane window.
More and more pilots are reporting that they're encountering drones during flight.
The number of these reports have ballooned this year. In October, 41 pilots reported seeing a drone, or unmanned aircraft, during flight. That's up from just five in April, according to data released by the Federal Aviation Administration Wednesday.
A total of 193 incidents were reported between Feb. 22 and Nov. 11.
On a few occasions, pilots had to alter their course to avoid the drone. In most instances, however, the drones did not impact the flights, the FAA said.
It's no surprise that there are more drones out there. Farmers want to use them to survey fields, while wedding photographers want them for moving aerial shots. Drones have been used by law enforcement, firefighters and for disaster relief.
Some are sold for less than $700, so there are plenty of hobbyists out there that just fly them for fun.
The increase in reports can also be attributed to greater awareness and improvements in the reporting process, the FAA said.
C) I chose this article because this will also be helpfull for police and like i it was mentioned for firefighters. It can have a positive affect and a negative one aswell. They could be the cose for killing many people if they hit those planes.
