Homework: Help your child practice writing their name with one capital letter and the rest lowercase
In Other News
Phonics: We will continue working on letter sounds. We will focus on the letters Ii and Jj.
Phonemic Awareness: We will be working on identifying beginning sounds.
Writing: We will continue Writer's Workshop this week. We will be working on building our stamina as a writer and adding words to our stories by really stretching them out and hearing as many sounds as we can. We are starting to stretch our stories across more than one page - like real authors do.
Math: We are focusing on identifying, writing and representing the numbers 0-10.
Science/Social Studies: This week we will be learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
This Friday is Grandparent's Day. A note about this went home today. Make sure your grandparents signs the attached form.
Our Fall Walk field trip will be the 21st. Please sign the form I sent home.
