Time to Refresh School Supplies
Please check with your child over Spring Break what school supplies they will need to finish out the school year. More and more students are coming to class without the needed supplies. Some teachers have already given out over 500 pencils and several reams of paper to students that were purchased by the teacher. Thank you for sending your child to school prepared to learn.

Electronics Change at Lunch - final reminder
Beginning the Monday after Spring Break, March 20, 2017, students will no longer be allowed to use their personal electronics at lunch. We have tried to allow this use with the parameters that students may not use social media, texting, phone calls, or taking pictures; they may only use it for games, music, or doing class research. We continue to have to routinely pick-up phones for inappropriate use. Beginning March 20th students may not have their personal electronics visible in the cafeteria. They must remain in lockers, pockets, or binders. This is also the requirement for passing periods.
On a positive note, more and more research is coming out discussing how the current generation of students do not have well developed interpersonal social skills. Much research has attributed this to the excessive use of social media. Maybe this may help in the development of interpersonal social skills.
