Things to Know
TKES NEWS
Pre-Conferences are being wrapped up this week! Walk Through observation #1 will focus on:
- Performance Standard 3: Instructional Strategies
- Performance Standard 5: Assessment Strategies
- Performance Standard 7: Positive Learning Environment
Please review the Fact Sheets located in the CCSD Evaluation Platform for performance indicators. These observations will be conducted through Oct. 16.
PARENT - TEACHER CONFERENCES
Conferences are scheduled for 10/14 - 10/16. These days are also set aside as early release days with dismissal at 12:20 PM each day. Evening conferences are scheduled for Thursday 10/15 and will run until 8 PM. As you send home your scheduled times for parents to sign up, be sure to attach the district letter that was placed in your mailboxes along with it.
- Try to offer times for our working parents during the evening hours of the late conference day.
- Let's make every effort to coordinate with each other for sibling groups.
Finally, our goal is 100% conferences in the building. Let's do all we can to get parents in the building. Please let the office know of those parents you are unable to reach.
MLK "I Have a Dream" Contest
This annual contest is underway. It is open to all grade levels K-5. Please encourage your students to enter. More details will come via email.
PLEASE REMEMBER
-You can pick up a discount card from any UPS store and receive 100 free B&W copies each month + a discount of 15% off everything!
-Dunkin Donuts wants to give you free coffee every Monday in September, just show your CCSD badge!
