Hey guy's, it's Lexie here. Today I'm going to talk about what my classmates and I did in technology. I will also share my opinions about the technology projects. Let's get started!
At the beginning of the class period we start out with typing for five minutes. Typing Web is where we type to improve our typing skills. This skill can give us various job choices too! My opinion on this app is that it can be frustrating and a little bit hard. Reasons for this are: you mess up on a letter and feel the need to start over, seeing your WPM (speed) and not being happy with it, and when your in the middle of a lesson and you have to get off so then the next time you have to start over. Other people that have tried this app may have totally different opinions, but remember this is just my opinion, it doesn't have to be yours too!
ITrailer is a very fun app! You get to make short clips on the "movie" you want to produce. If anyone wants/wanted to be a film maker I would advise that you try this app out. Creating trailers is really fun because you can have any topic that you want as long as it's appropriate for school. Also, you get to venture out into the real world. Having fun with this app is important because otherwise your trailer might not be interesting. Themes that you can choose from are: scary, adventure, simple, friends, family, and many more. If you try this app, I really hope you enjoy it like I do.
Haiku Deck is an interesting app. Personally I don't mind it, but, I also don't really care and see the need for it. To me, this app is kind of confusing. This is because when you type in a word to search for a picture it finds totally different picture's than what you wanted. I think they should make their app a little more high tech. (I mean like, come on!) Our peers and teachers want us to learn how to use technology, but, this app is basic for us sixth graders! Again, like I said before, this is my opinion not yours. (Yes, I know I sound like a reviewer but...)
Explain Everything is sort of a fun app. The only reason I didn't like it was because it made more slides than what I wanted. Other than that I think it's a good app to try out. It's sort of like the app show me. This app allows you to draw and put pictures in. Also, you can record your voice to "explain" how to do the situation/problem. Later on, when you're finished, you can present it in front of your family/friends or your school, teacher, and classmates.
To me Go Animate is very frustrating. When I used this app my whole presentation got messed up. My slides kept cutting off the words and all of my slides got out of order so I had to start over. Of course I wasn't that far in my presentation but I got really mad. If that didn't happen my response would be totally different in this article. Unless your willing to take a risk, I advise not to use this app.
Career Locker was kind of fun because we got to see what career options we have in the future. I got lucky because my dream job was one of the options I had. When you use this app you have to answer questions so they know your personality and what your good at, then, that's how they give you some job choices. Your dream job doesn't necessarily have to be a choice that's on there though. My classmates and I used this app last year and this year. Last year, we picked all the job choices that we wanted and found colleges. This year, we answered questions and had to research our dream job. We also got to find colleges again. so, in conclusion, is you want to find out some jobs choices for you, I advise to use this app.
Okay guy's, so I have just opened up and shared with you my opinions on the things we used in technology. I hope that you will consider trying some of the apps that I've presented today. I'll see you next time when I have more to share, bye!
