GHSA Benefit Dance

Kids Care Club

Kids Care Club has a fun-packed event scheduled for April. Mr. Grace from 4th Grade will talk about Earth Day and Kristy Finnan, RD, will talk about nutrition. The kids will have a chance to help the Gayman Grounds Committee plant flowers and spruce up the school.

When: Thursday, April 21st

Time: 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM

Where: Gayman Library and Butterfly Garden

Open to all grades!

In conjunction with Earth Day the Kids Care Club will be running a food drive to support local kids and families. Send in your non-perishable food items beginning April 11th and place them in the donation bin outside the old office.

Spring Fair Is Coming

Join us at The Gayman Groove on May 14th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. From now until April 21st you can pre-order your Spring Fair wristbands for $15.00 each - a $5 savings per band!!

Starting on April 22nd, wristbands can be purchased for $20. Parents and children 4 and under are free!!

Home & School Nominations

It’s that time of the year again…Home & School Board Nominations! Please submit your nominations to Nicole Dooley ( or Kim Cohen ( by April 18. Candidates will be announced via the Gazette on April 25 and will voted on at the general meeting on May 12. Position descriptions can be found on the GHSA website or feel free to contact the nominating committee or a current board member.

Aramark Poster Contest

Aramark is sponsoring a poster contest for students of the Central Bucks School District. Students are asked to choose one of the nutritional themes and create their own artwork. Each winner will receive a $100 gift card! For complete details click here.

Central Bucks Art Scholarship Fund

The Art Department is selling t-shirts to support the Central Bucks Art Scholarship Fund. Every year the Art Department donates three scholarships to graduating seniors from East, West and South.

Camp Girl Power

Girls Empowered are excited to be running Camp Girl Power, an empowerment camp for pre-teen girls this summer. The camp will be a full day from 9 AM to 3 PM the week of Monday, August 15th. Space for the camp is generously donated by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County in Jamison. Please click here more details.

Parent Positive Series

We are excited to announce a newly formed collaboration between the Central Bucks School District, CB Cares, CB YMCA, and the Doylestown Hospital. Through this collaboration, we are hosting five parent sessions titled, Parent Positive: Partnerships creating a healthier, stronger community.

Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg, M.D., is a pediatrician specializing in Adolescent Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Ginsburg will be presenting on Raising Kids to Thrive: Balancing Love with Expectations and Protection with Trust on Wednesday, April 13th at CB West High School starting at 7:00 PM.

Boomerang Award

This year, Gayman will continue to accept nominations for the Boomerang Award, which is our way of honoring students who best demonstrate their own developmental assets. What are Developmental Assets? Students possessing a combination of “40 Assets” are typically most successful in school and in life. These assets have the power to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults. For a complete listing of the 40 Developmental Assets visit: www.

April #25. Reading For Pleasure. Young person reads for pleasure most days of the week, either alone, with family members, or with friends. Boomerang nominations may be emailed to Suzanne Vass at, or printed out and sent into the office.

CB Cares Educational Foundation, in partnership with Doylestown Hospital, the Central Bucks School District, local businesses, and the community, is dedicated to enriching the experience of students through learning grants and 40 Assets-based programs which promote responsible and resilient youth.
