Summer Update from Superintendent Bullard
Paynesville Families,
This summer Paynesville Area Schools will be offering a summer food program for all residents ages 18 and below. This is a free program that is not connected with the federal free and reduced lunch program. The program will run Monday through Friday from June 8 to August 28 with the exception of July 3. Due to Covid19 there will be no congregate dining, so we will continue using a satellite model for pick up only meals. However, with summer staffing changes, the satellite model has been modified to meet the needs of the residents within the confines of our budget. The following sites (same pick up locations at each site) and operation times are listed below.
Roscoe - 7:15 am - 7:30 am
5 Mile Bridge DNR Access - 7:15 am - 7:40 am
Paynesville Elementary School - 7:30 am - 8:00 am
St. Martin - 7:40 am - 7:55 am
Paynesville Ice Arena - 7:45 am - 8:10 am
Lake Henry - 8:10 am - 8:25 am
Hawick - 8:20 am - 8:35 am
Regal - 8:35 am - 8:50 am
If you have not been using the satellite meal service during the distance learning period, but anticipate using it during the summer please email Katie Welle in food service, kwelle@isd741.org, to help us prepare enough meals.
Sincerely,
Matt Bullard

Catholic Charities' Foster Grandparent Program
Paynesville Area Elementary School graciously welcomes Foster Grandparents! The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors, 55+, the opportunity to work with students in local schools, or other non-profit agencies with children who need extra assistance. Typically school “Grandma’s” and “Grandpa’s” work one-on-one with kids who need some extra support both academically and emotionally.Foster Grandparents have the ability to use their time, skills and experience to help children learn. Volunteers put in a minimum of 260 hours a year and receive a tax free stipend, mileage reimbursement, and educational opportunities.
This is a great opportunity if you have time to spare, love to be with children, and could use some extra non-taxable income. For more information, please contact Sara at 320-229-4589 or www.ccstcloud.org
