BPMS News
Hello Baker Prairie Community!
We are excited to partner with families this week during conference week. As we've shifted practice a bit in how we are doing conferences, it has created some challenges for some families- my apologies for that. To clarify a couple of things:
1. Advisory conferences were intended to give families the option of coming into the building OR doing them via Zoom. Content teacher conferences (which are shorter in length) are all scheduled via Zoom, because of the short duration of the conference. While this was intended to accommodate family needs, it has also potentially created some confusion.
2. Zoom links have been a challenge. My advice is for families to follow the zoom link that was sent out on the teachers original email that went out to families. The PTCFast reminder emails seem to not always have the correct Zoom link.
We are grateful for the partnership around improving learning for students. If you experience any problems today, please reach out to teachers. They are working hard to connect. The front office is also happy to help with scheduling or link issues.

School Dance - Chaperones Needs
We have scheduled a school dance for Thursday, November 9th and we will need chaperones! If you are interested please complete the CSD Volunteer and Visitor's application and email Nancy Dula at nancy.dula@canby.k12.or.us, to let us know that you could help.
Volleyball
Intramural volleyball starts on October 24th. If your student would like to participate please make sure they have all their paperwork completed.
Halloween
At Baker Prairie we do not have students dress up for Halloween. Festive attire, such as black and orange, shirts with pumpkins, etc, are welcome, however we would ask that kids not dress up, to reduce distraction in the building. We will be having an assembly at the end of the day on Halloween to recognize that it's a unique day.
