Graduation: Saturday, May 28th, 2016 (Save the Date)
Please make note that this year graduation is the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Every teacher and staff member on every campus plays an integral role of each graduating class. It is a tradition in Lovejoy for our teachers and staff to support our graduates on graduation day. As we have done in the past, all staff are expected to be at graduation and the staff luncheon on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 to honor our graduating class of 2016. Personal days will not be granted. If a faculty member is not present during the graduation ceremony and luncheon, they will be docked pay. Exceptions will be granted to faculty who have a graduating senior.

Learning at Lovejoy 2016: Tuesday, July 26th— Friday, August 5th.
As you begin making your summer plans, all SCIS staff will participate in a total of five days of Learning at Lovejoy between July 26 and August 5. This year, we will have 5 exchange days in the 2016-17 workday calendar. Four of the exchange days will be earned during the National Conference Week July 26 – July 28 (Tuesday—Friday). For the fifth exchange day, teachers and staff will choose an additional day during the second week of August 1-5. Any teacher who does not participate in five days of Learning @ Lovejoy will be required to come to professional development through LISD on the designated exchange days during the 2016-17 school year. Personal days will not be granted for Learning at Lovejoy or the exchange days.

August 10th PD Day
If you have viewed the 2016-2017 academic calendar, you will notice that we have a PD day scheduled for Saturday, October 29th. As we have done in the past, SCIS, WSMS, and LHS will not work on Saturday, October 29th. Instead, we will again have our PD day on Wednesday, August 10th.
