From the Office
This week was busy at Westfield! Monday kicked off with a 6th grade field trip to the Morton Arboretum and their investigation of tree species continued throughout this week around our building. We were lucky to have great weather for the Cross Country meet on Tuesday where Westfield runners performed exceptionally well! 6th grade girls, 7/8th grade girls and 6/7th grade boys all took home 1st place at Conference and our 8th grade boys earned 2nd place! Congratulations to all runners and a special thank you to our coaches: Mr. Buchholz, Mr. Stamatakos, Mr. Volkman and Mr. Wojcicki!
On Wednesday we completed our annual bus evacuation drill with the First Student bus company and on Thursday we were so lucky to have an author visit by Chris Colfer! A big thank you to the Reading Motivation Committee and all their work to make that possible!
If you have not had a chance to participate in the PTO Fall "UnFundraiser", please consider doing so. We appreciate the amazing support we receive from our PTO parents!

READ THIS...If You're Going to a Lake Park High School Game
- Any non-high school age student attending contests at the high school must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Students arriving without an adult chaperone will not be admitted to the game.
Backpacks and opened outside beverage containers are not allowed in our stadium so please plan accordingly and bring what you need to be prepared for all weather.
Admission of $3 is charged to non-high school age students over the age of five (5) years old.
If you are not being driven home by your adult chaperone, please arrange for your ride to pick you up immediately following the contest in the circle drive in front of West Campus and not in the stadium parking lot. This helps to reduce traffic near the stadium.
