School Board Recognition Night

The School Board enjoyed a night focused on citizenship within Parkland. We thank the School Board who serve as role models for those who volunteer their time and give back to their community. This evening, they learned about some ways our students and staff give back through various school projects. Links to their presentations appear below:


Elementary Schools Presentation

Middle School Presentation

The Middle Schools made a combined video that highlighted citizen projects.

Student Sydni Sundstrom and teacher Lisa Hoffman (SMS) as well as student Anna Lorenzo and teacher Amy Kakaley (OMS) were the presenters.

High School Presentation

PHS students Olivia Faenza and Kyleigh Duff made some remarks about a video presentation that highlights some philanthropic projects undertaken by students at PHS.

Union Presentations

Sandi Gackenbach addressed the Board with a message of thanks from PEA as did Elizabeth Moyer from PESPA.

Approval of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Parkland School District and Parkland Education Association

A 3-year contract between the Parkland Education Association and Parkland School District was approved by the School Board this evening . Read the press release here.

Roundtable

The School Board remarked that they enjoyed the presentation this evening and were glad to see so many students who are enjoying giving back to the community. They all showed poise and had well-written speeches.
