Are you experiencing pay problem and expecting back pay? Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) may provide financial assistance in the form of an interest-free bridge loan to be repaid immediately upon receipt of the missing pay. Assistance is intended to replace only Basic Pay, Special Pays provided monthly, such as Sea Pay, Sub Pay, etc., Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), and Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS). The amount of financial assistance provided to a service member due to a verified no-fault pay error is normally limited to the amount of pay shorted for a single pay period (15th or EOM pay). A command verified pay problem form may be obtained by emailing or come to the North Island NMCRS office in Building 318, Room 119. If you are short of pay due to recoupment of a prior overpayment, contact the office at 619-545-4477 to schedule an appointment.
