The R. Grant Graham Star Reporter
October 16, 2020
From the Principal
Dear Graham Families:
Important! Today is the deadline to fill out your Enrollment Commitment form! You will need to choose your child's learning environment for the remainder of the second trimester. It is important that we have the correct information for each student. Please make every effort to fill it out today. Thank you!
The Avondale Board of Education will be voting on Monday evening to determine if we will be returning to in person learning on November 16th. If the district votes to return to in person learning, they will do their best to keep the students in their same class, but with remote learning being an option we might need to move students around.
School pictures will take place on November 6th and 9th from 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm. The sign up genius link and information regarding pictures is below.
The Avondale Middle School Annual Halloween Trick or Treat event LIVES! This year, they are hosting a Haunted Cruise! The event, on October 30th from 6:30 - 8:30pm, is for preschool through 8th grade. The cost is $10 per car. Please see the flyer below.
Thank you for your continued support during this ever changing time!
Have a great weekend!!
Remember, it takes a village, to raise our children.

Important! Remote or In-Person Learning Letter
Good Afternoon Avondale Families,
We hope this reaches you well. As we approach the end of districtwide remote learning, it is time for families to select a choice for your child(ren)'s learning environment for the remainder of the school year.
To assist you with your decision, we have developed a COVID-19 Handbook for Return to In-Person Education. This resource includes summaries of safety precautions established through collaborations with staff, parents and administrators as well as information gleaned from community input at Board of Education meetings and Town Halls.
Students enrolled in Avondale School District will be supported for success in either In-Person or Remote Learning. We respect your enrollment choice and we look forward to continuing to partner with you during these very unique times.
Your responses are critical in helping us plan appropriately to support a successful school year. Please click on this link to access the Enrollment Commitment Form. It contains selection options for instructional environment, mask policy, food service, and transportation needs.
Please complete ONE FORM PER STUDENT.
The enrollment commitment is until the end of the school year.
Any students who do not have a commitment form completed will be automatically enrolled for In-Person instruction for the remainder of the school year.
This form is due on October 16, 2020 by 3:00pm. No late forms will be accepted.
Following completion and review of enrollment commitments, building-level administrators will complete the scheduling process. You will receive updated communication by the first week of November regarding placement and schedule for In-Person or Remote Learning.
We appreciate your time and partnership as you enroll your child(ren) in their learning environment for the rest of the school year.
