We held our first Senior Class meeting on August 27th. Our goals were to highlight some of the important timeline items at the beginning of senior year!

College Application Working Lunch available every Monday in Room 506
Every Monday, students with questions about the college application process are invited to meet with Mrs. Tricomi and Ms. Cox. We also are available to assist students as they work on applications and all other related aspects to the college application process (scholarships, financial aid, residency determination, etc.)

Welcome Ms. Rachel Cox to Eno River Academy
This year we are excited to have a UNC-Chapel Hill School Counseling intern work with us 3 days a week all year! Ms. Cox is from High Point, North Carolina and graduated from UNC-CH with a BA in Communication Studies in 2018. She is now enrolled in the Masters of Education School Counseling program. We are so happy to have her!
Financial Aid Night
We held our annual Financial Aid night on October 4, 2018 at 6:00 pm. William Harmon presented. Mr. Harmon is founder of Collegiate Financial Solutions and also an ERA parent.

Career & College Promise Night Presentation
Patricia Gould, director of Career and College Promise program at Durham Tech, presented the Dual Enrollment option to parents and students on October 4th at 7:00.
Introduction to High School Counselor
Mrs. Tricomi, our high school counselor and Ms. Cox, our UNC counselor intern conducted lessons for students in the Healthful Living classes on September 21st. The goal was to inform students how the counselor can help with academic, social/emotional, and career goals.

Classroom Lesson on Career Key & Myers-Briggs
We met with students in English 1 this semester to set up CFNC accounts. College Foundation of North Carolina website assists students with planning, applying, and paying for college (
www.cfnc.org). Then, students completed the Career Key assessment to learn more about their personality and jobs that align with their personality. Next, students took the Myers-Briggs assessment to see those results as well (
www.16personalities.com). We discussed if they felt the results were accurate.
Juniors signed up to take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 10th
PreACT test coming up for Sophomores on November 7th
