Message from Superintendent Mueller: We need your input on future programs, experiences, and opportunities for students across CUSD. To gather your feedback, we’re using a tool called Thoughtexchange. All of our voices matter, so your participation is crucial and valued.
You’ll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what’s important to the group.
Your thoughts and stars are anonymous. You can come back as often as you’d like to participate and, in fact, we ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on for future programs, experiences, and opportunities.
Participation will be open until October 14, 2019. Please encourage your child to participate in this Thoughtexchange.
The CMS Book Fair is coming to the library Nov.1st - 8th. Checkout our home page https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/CMS for hours, daily activities, and online shopping opportunities. The book fair is a major source of income for our CMS Library. Scholastic offers up to 55% back from profits! You can also purchase books for the library and classrooms. Online sales begin in October. Volunteers make a difference, and we need your help to pull off the best book fair ever! Please sign up via the link above, or email megan.pettit@coronadousd.net if you have any questions.
Take A Vet to School Day - Speakers Needed
November 8, 2019 7:40 am – 10:00 am
CMS is looking for speaker for our 11th Annual Take a Veteran to School Day. We love all veterans -- those who serve or have served. A veteran will be assigned to a classroom to speak for 20 minutes followed by a 10 minute Q and A. Veterans may bring photographs or artifacts. Active duty is asked to wear their uniform. Speakers are invited to join us for breakfast and a presentation at 7:40am in Granzer Hall. Please email Kathleen.Cotten@coronadousd.net if you or someone you know would like to speak in a classroom. Please send the speaker’s name, service, email, phone number and mailing address.
Lost and Found: Items are kept in Granzer Hall and are available for students to look through every Friday at lunch when they're set out in the quad. At the end of each 9-week grading period, all unclaimed items will be donated. Please encourage your student to check the lost and found when one of their items has gone missing. We currently have a lot of swim gear!!
Saturday School: Saturday School is a great opportunity for students to make up any unexcused or excused absence. Teachers provide a fun, enriching experience during Saturday School. See below for details.
