Silverdale Baptist Academy

May 13, 2016

Dear Silverdale Families,

We’ve enjoyed a flurry of culminating activities with you and your children over the past few weeks. It’s hard to believe this year is coming to an end. Your children have grown in so many ways this year and we are very proud of them! It is a blessing to come alongside each of you in raising these children.

To God be the Glory, GREAT things He has done:

  • Over 25 elementary students made decisions to follow Jesus

  • The Lord taught us the ways of the wisdom as we studied the book of Proverbs during our weekly chapel time.

  • The annual Arts Festival was a great learning experience for our children. The students learned about Jewish culture, music and art. Mrs. Hampton, our art teacher, did an excellent job organizing the events of the day.

  • Our 5th grade presented “Pirates: The Musical”, a musical drama production, and directed by our music teacher, Mrs. Shoemaker.

  • Students explored musical interests through participation of private instrument and voice lessons and performed two recitals this year.

  • Our students were shown the importance of serving others through various service projects throughout the community.

  • Our Hand in Hand, 5th grade/Kindergarten mentorship program, has built meaningful relationships among our students. Our Kindergarten and 5th grade students spent this school year loving each other well and lasting, forever friendships were formed.

  • Academically, our students have learned so much, and many have received top honors from various organizations, honoring them for their hard work. In the end, we believe our students have enjoyed learning this year and that is what we desire most.

  • Several of our elementary athletic teams finished in the top of our district. We are proud of our students’ hard work this season.

  • The BOOST program continues to grow each year, offering our students more enriching activities to choose from after school. We look forward to seeing how God continues to provide new opportunities for our children through BOOST.
