Class Placements
We will meet on Thursday, May 3rd to begin the process of class placements for next school year. This week in your mailbox, you wil find index cards. We will utilize the same system as last year with the student's name on an index card with some information (see below for what to include on the index card), and we were able to move students around easier using pocket charts.
In order to use our time together most effectively, we are asking if you could prepare the note cards as follows:
- Boys=Blue Note Cards
- Girls=Green note cards
- First and last name on front of card
- Below name=any students to separate from

Have students construct a diorama with recycled materials and be creative in designing a scene that illustrates the importance of recycling. Think of a scene, sketch some idea, collect materials and build your diorama!
One winner will be selected by St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspapers in Education. Prizes include having your diorama photo in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and a baseball prize pack (dates TBD). Submit your photos through May 6!
Tynker Coding Activity
Earth Day is on April 22 – celebrate with a fun solar energy coding project for your students! Your class can collect solar power and use panels, towers, and more to accelerate energy absorption. Challenge them to reprogram the project into an ocean cleanup, tree-planting, or composting game!
To assign the FREE project to your students, take 2 minutes and set up your Tynker classroom!
