Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Curriculum Connections Day

Students have taken part in our Curriculum Connections Day completing exciting activities including a mock trial with our English and Humanities department, creating Trebuchet, artistic petri dishes, extracting dyes and biological drawings in DT, Art and Science and PE activities.

Stars of the Week:


  • Mrs Rice has nominated Year 7 students James, Rhema and Theo for their excellent debate skills.
  • Mr Cox has nominated his Year 10 Drama class for excellent work on the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.
  • Mr Braans has nominated 9T for excellent work in tutor time this week.
  • Mr Williamson has nominated the following Media students Year 7 students, Chae Thai for achieving lesson star and Isla for her efforts and contribution in class. Also nominated are Year 9 students Gabrielle for exceptional effort and enthusiasm in lessons and Maja for her participation in lessons.
  • Mrs Brightwell and the Science team would like to say well done toe our Year 10 Scientists for their safe and focused work during the Core Practical Workshop in Science.
  • Mr Hirst has nominated his current Year 10 Engineering students for making excellent progress in their NEA. The quality of the work is outstanding. Well done.
  • Mr Jackson has nominated 8TE for their excellent teamwork and effort during the elections week with special recognition to Rowan, Finlay and James for their outstanding leadership.
  • Miss Fenner would like to nominate Patrick in Year 7 and Adam in year 10 for their support of other students new to our school. Also nominated are Year 9 English students Ines and Mya for their determination to improve and make progress in essay writing this week.
