Happy Spring!

Dear Rayburn Families,

I am excited to share that our students have been showing tremendous growth in their learning. We continue to work diligently on closing instructional learning gaps and preparing students to reach end of year goals. Teachers and students are doing an amazing job! It was great to see everyone at our annual open house this year. If you were unable to attend, please communicate with your child’s teacher so they can make arrangements for a conference.

Special shout out to Coach Castellanos (MISD Substitute) and Oneida Tamez (girls basketball) for volunteering to coach these boys and girls, we are grateful for your time and efforts.

Our Chess team, led by Coach Oneida Tamez will be competing this month and we look forward to seeing them apply what they have been learning and practicing all year long. So many wonderful things are happening for our students at Rayburn and we are excited to discover their future talents and achievements!

Please help your child by having them at school each day and for the entire day. Each day they are out or hours they are picked up early, puts them behind in their learning. It is very difficult to make up this time for both the student and the teacher. Getting students to school on time by 7:45am each morning is also necessary for their learning.

CAFETERIA UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Dear Parents, Great news!!!

We would like to inform you that our school cafeteria will be under construction to help improve cafeteria productivity. Construction is expected to start March 6, 2023. Rest assured that during this time our students will continue to receive delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and supper meals. We are committed to meeting all dietary needs of our students. This project will help us be able to cook on site and provide even more delicious meals for our students. Construction is expected to be completed February 2024. Thank you for your understanding during this transition.
