Teacher Appreciation, coming soon.....

Next month we will be honoring our staff at Maple Grove during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-11. Last year we put on a silent auction for our staff and it was a huge hit! That was only possible with all the donations our parents and families secured and delivered to the school. We would like to do this again, and therefore, are asking for your help! Last year we had goods and services ranging from gift cards to restaurants and stores, to photoshop services, bulletin board help, Flair pens, even a Cricut die cut machine and a flight around the valley on a private plane! We are so fortunate to have so many generous and caring families at Maple Grove. If you are in a position to donate or have access to businesses that might donate, would you please put the word out that we are looking for items for our teachers? Donations can be dropped off at Maple Grove or I (Kathy Johnson) am happy to pick up.

Also, sign ups will be sent out soon for door decorating and food for teacher meals. As in years past, we will be offering 2 lunches, a breakfast, snacks and an Italian Soda bar all week, and a dessert day. Doors will be decorated Friday, May 4th, so please check your calendars and get your creative juices flowing! We are so grateful for the generous manner in which Maple Grove parents pull together and are hoping for another successful Teacher Appreciation Week.

More info to come on daily activities and ways to show your teachers some true appreciation.

Thanks!

We can’t wait for this event next year!

Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, April 3rd at 7pm at Awakenings Coffeehouse. We will be voting for the PTA board for the 2018/2019 school year. If you are interested in joining the board or an event committee, please email us at ptamaplegrove@gmail.com

Our next Dine Around Night is Thursday, April 12th from 5-9pm at the Chick-fil-A on Franklin.

Thanks for Reading!! Read-a-thon was a big success!

Our students went above and beyond what they were asked to read during our Read-a-thon last month! They were asked to read 20 minutes per day for 5 days, and many surpassed that and more! Thanks to all who participated and made this event a huge success.

The Read-a-thon was also our only school wide fundraiser for the year. Thanks to all of your hard work and dedication we earned a total of $12,518.95. Thanks to the amazing families of Maple Grove.

Prize winners will be announced on Friday at school! Great job to all!
