The Principal's Message
Bear Branch Junior High Parents,
I'm currently reading a book called "The Power of Moments." In the book, the authors state "that our most memorable positive moments are dominated by four elements: elevation, insight, pride, and connection. If we embrace these elements, we can conjure more moments that matter." At BBJH, we are working hard to design lessons and provide opportunities both in and out of the classroom that matter...that are engaging...and that are exciting to students.
With a focus on building relationships and creating rigorous engaging lessons, I'm hopeful the moments we create for your students will be powerful and help prepare them for their next step.
As always, if I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at 281-356-6088 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Changes to REMIND
Teachers and Parents,
If you use Verizon Wireless as your cell phone provider, this message applies to you. Effective January 28, Remind will no longer be able to push text messages to Verizon users. What this means is you will have to set up your preferences to receive emails or push notifications through the Remind App.
Verizon is charging Remind an additional fee that makes it impossible for Remind to continue supporting text messaging on its network. As a result, Remind is forced to shut off the free Remind text messaging service for everyone who who has Verizon Wireless as their phone carrier beginning January 28.
To minimize service disruptions on the 28th, you can find instructions for enabling smartphone or email notifications here: How to change my message notifications
Don't worry, you will not be charged to use Remind through the app or your email!
Download the free Remind app on the iOS App Store, on Google Play, or at rmd.me/a. Make sure to enable push notifications from Remind on your phone.
Alternatively, you can enable email notifications: How to change my message notifications
