Welcome to September! It's a busy month with competition season kicking off. For all you first year parents, welcome to this chaos we call band life. There is a lot of support in this community and if you ever need any help with anything there are plenty of seasoned parents to guide you. Show days are an exciting day where we get the privilege to see the hard work these young adults are putting in. It's a time where we, as parents get to see what they have been doing when we are toting them to practice multiple times a week. I know this is a day where we can get a little competitive, and want to show our support of the band. Please remember these are all just kids, lets be respectful of the other bands in the community. Remember to watch the other bands, and not to point out their mistakes, or talk while they are performing. We want to show the community that New Pal has not only respectful students, but parents as well. There is a lot of information in this issue so lets get started.

Competition Days
Show Day
Make sure the kids have a nice breakfast, plenty of water and some snacks. Show days are busy, and the kids need energy to perform at their best.
**Make sure you are checking your email to be sure to get the full list of show day expectations.**
This week is the first show and we are already lacking parent volunteers. This program is not possible without the support of volunteers. Please consider volunteering this season, whether it is making food for the kids, chaperoning, etc. There are no special skills required to volunteer, other than a desire to support the kids.
Fan Angel
The Fan Angel fundraiser is over, and boy were we close to the goal! Great job to everyone who participated. We had over 88% participation, and raised $11,050!

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser
Our Texas Roadhouse fundraiser is about to begin!
This is one of our more popular fundraisers and will begin on September 19th.
A portion of the profits from this fundraiser are applied to student accounts, so this is a great way to chip away at any fees remaining for this year or get a head start on next year. I have physical order forms in the band room and have attached the form to this email for your convenience. Cost for all items is printed on the order form.
Order forms and money are due October 5th. They should be turned into the band box in an envelope with your child's name and Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser printed on it, please! The last day these can be submitted is 10/5.
PICK UP: On November 13th, orders must be picked up at the band barn (large building between admin and the HS soccer field). If you can't make it personally, please arrange for someone to pick your order up as there is not enough freezer space available for them to be stored.
Laundry Detergent Fundraiser
Do you or someone you know do laundry? Maybe wash dishes in a dishwasher? Do you have the need from time to time for trash bags? If you answered yes, you should strongly consider taking advantage of our fundraiser program and receive $$ towards your student account!!
Laundry Detergent & Trash Bags
You may place an order at any time. On the first of each month, detergent and trash bag orders are sent into our supplier. They are typically ready for pick up a couple weeks after the 1st of the month. The coordinator will be in touch once the items are in hand to arrange your pick up. Payment is due at the time of pick up. Check payments are preferred and should be made out to NPBB.

Student Accounts
We have the ability to process credit / debit card, as well as Apple Pay.
If you ever have any questions about your student account (dues that are owed, credits earned, payments applied) please don't hesitate to reach our to our Student Accounts Coordinator - Brandi.
** If you feel you are unable to meet your financial obligations to the band program, please reach out to Mr. Carney to discuss possible options. Having this conversation may very well be the difference in being able to continue with the program, or not. Please have the conversation. Your information and situation will always be kept confidential.
