Ecoboost Engine
How Is The Ecoboost Good for the Environment?
How It Helps the Environment
1) Direct Fuel injection.
2) The engine uses energy from the exhaust to turn a turbine wheel.
3) The Ford Ecoboost's more effecient use of fuel saves fewer trips to the gas station.
Direct Fuel Injection
Direct Fuel injection into the combustion chamber of the cylinder instead of mixing with the air in the inlet port. This helps by giving the truck a better fuel effeciency.
Energy From Exhaust
The engine uses energy from the exhaust to turn a turbine wheel. This helps by recycling exhaust to give the truck extra power If this wouldn't occur the exhaust would be waisted and damage the atmosphere.
Fuel Efficiency
The Ford Ecoboost's more effecient use of fuel saves fewer trips to the gas station. This helps by using less fossil fuels wich is not a non-renuable resource. (Saves up to 20% of fuel.)
Turbine Wheel
Energy form exhaust is used to rotate the wheel.
Direct Fuel Injection
Fuel is directly injected into combustion chambers.
Fuel Efficiency
Ecoboost saves up to 20% of fuel.
