Meet Foothill’s FOCHP Club
Only one out of every ten dogs born will ever find a permanent home, and approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. FOCHP, Friends of Orange County's Homeless Pets, is a nonprofit organization aiming to make homeless and unwanted pets more adoptable and find them lifelong families.
Here at Foothill, the FOCHP club is led by sophomore Anna Hicks, who has personally been fostering dogs for seven years. This year, the FOCHP Club participated in the annual Walk for Rescues, which helped raise funds for the organization. The club also held a toy drive for less-privileged pups. It’s great to know that there are students on Foothill’s campus that care for those who cannot care for themselves. Check out the official website to find out more: www.fochp.org .
