What are you doing to serve?
What are you doing to serve this summer? Serve Sacramento loves to celebrate what God’s people and good people are doing in the region. We are doing everything in order to encourage YOU to serve by surfacing great stories about what is already happening every day in big and small ways by people just like you! If your family, church or small group is planting a community garden, implementing a back pack drive, preparing meals for families in need, or serving in any other way, we want to hear about it! Below are a few stories of service that have come in over the last few months. And, if you're not serving someone right now, check out our online regional calendar or download Gelper to find a way YOU can serve this summer. Together we can cover our region with acts of love and service so others can see and experience the love and presence of Jesus.
Serving with you,

Upcoming Event: Day of Hope
The Sacramento Day of Hope is a collaborative effort between local churches, businesses, social service organizations, and local government, serving the Greater Sacramento area, providing food for the hungry and relief for people in crisis. This outreach, happening on August 29th at American Legion High School, will provide thousands of children and families in the Oak Park community with free groceries, haircuts, clothing, lunch, family portraits, games and activities for children, and much more!
This all-volunteer event mobilizes hundreds of area residents to serve and make a difference in their community and E49 Corporation needs hundreds of volunteers to make this event a success. Click here to find out more and to volunteer!
