Silverdale News
Week of 10/2
Welcome Fall!
We've had a busy week and want to say thank you to our many families who attended our Back to School Night. We hope you found it informative, signed up for one of our parent groups (Parent Lighthouse Team-PLT and the Action Team for Partnerships-ATP), and had an opportunity to see the many new things we've added to our campus. Our leadership students are proud of their picnic tables and umbrellas they raised money to purchase last year and our rock garden is coming along nicely. Every student and staff member will have a painted rock that will stay at Silverdale for years to come.
Early Check Outs
Parents, we need your help. One school-wide goal this year is to raise our students' academic proficiency. In our first 20 days of school, we have had 247 early check outs which is approximately 430 hours of instruction lost. We always support necessary checkouts such as medical appointments, sickness, emergencies and other needed appointments. We ask that you help us maximize our students' time in the classroom by allowing children to stay in school all day, every day it's possible. We thank you for helping us with this.
Fall Festival Planning
Would you like to help our Parent Lighthouse team plan our fall festival or run one of our many games? If so, please join them on Monday night in the annex PD room at 5:30pm.
Candyman was a HIT!
Thank you for helping us make our Candyman Fundraiser a HUGE success! Our students sold $6892.50 worth of items. This directly impacts our school and increases our ability to purchase instructional resources.
Continue sending in your Boxtops! Classrooms are competing for the highest number.
Make sure and check out our school website!
