Morehead State University Updates
Morehead State University announced Tuesday its plan to freeze tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year, despite the 6.7 percent budget cut that came from Frankfort during this year’s budget session. “Part of MSU’s dedication to student success is not just an experience that combines personalized attention and high-quality academic programs, but making that experience affordable to students and families,” said Dr. Jay Morgan, MSU president. We will continue to evaluate strategies and to look for ways to make higher education as affordable as possible to as many students as possible at Morehead State. Tuition per semester at MSU for full-time Kentucky residents is $4,475.
Additionally, I wanted you to be aware of the following information.
- Accepted Seniors should submit their $150 enrollment deposit at www.moreheadstate.edu/confirm. Some students have been notified they have received a credit for their deposit, and can move forward in the enrollment process.
- After paying the enrollment deposit, Seniors should register for new student orientation (SOAR) – www.moreheadstate.edu/soar (deposit must be paid or credited prior to registration)
SOAR dates include June 8, June 19, and July 17. - Seniors interested in living on campus should apply at www.moreheadstate.edu/housing Hall/room assignments and roommate selection is ongoing. Seniors who choose to reside off-campus must complete the exemption to housing form which is attached. Note: students must live within a 50 mile radius to be eligible for an exemption, and it will not affect their institutional scholarships.
